We’re hosting a free online event exclusively for GUAP community members with Kandre Aramide Hassan, an artist whose practice draws on a background in social anthropology.
Session Topic
Creating from memory: an interactive workshop for anyone who has ever felt they need a reference image to bring an idea to life. Drawing from their artistic practice and background in social anthropology, Kandre will guide participants through a series of short drawing exercises, exploring how sensory details, memories and personal associations can be transformed into abstract drawings, using memory, lived experience and cultural knowledge as the starting point.
